Sweetheart Salad with Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette

For the salad:

• 12oz baby spinach
• 1 medium red onion, chopped
• 1/2 cup of caramelized walnuts
• 1/2 cup of craisins
• 1/2 cup of crispy cooked and chopped bacon
• 8oz of fresh mozarella, cut in slices and cut with a heart shape mold (if desired)
• 1 cup of fresh strawberries, cut as hearts

Balsamic Vinaigrette:

• 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
• 1 tsp of salt
• 1/2 tsp of black pepper
• 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
• 2 tbsp of honey
• 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
• 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
• 1/2 lemon juiced

For the salad: layer all the ingredients, baby spinach, onions, walnuts, craisins, bacon. Pace the fresh mozzarella hearts and strawberry hearts on top.

For the dressing: add all ingredients to a mason jar or dressing container like the one I have. Shake vigorously and pour on top of salad when ready to serve! Enjoy!
