Sliders & Pretzel Bites

French Onion Sliders

Ingredients:

Caramelized Onions:

• 1 or 2 medium yellow onions thinly sliced (depending on how much onions you like on yours)

• 1 tbsp of olive oil

• 1 tbsp of salted butter

• 1/2 tsp of fresh thyme, chopped

• salt & pepper to taste

Sliders:

• 1 sheet of Kings Hawaiian Original rolls

• 12 slices of provolone cheese

• 12 slices of thinly sliced roast beef

• 2 tbsp of melted butter

• 1 packet of Au Jus mix

Let’s do this!

Start by cooking the sliced onions in the olive oil until they start becoming soft, add the fresh thyme and the butter and finish cooking until they start turning golden brown in color and reducing significantly in size. That’s the caramelizing stage. Reserve.

On a sheet pan, sliced the rolls in half lengthwise and add 6 slices of provolone cheese, add the sliced roast beef covering the entire surface, add the onions to cover all, and finish with the remaining 6 slices of cheese. Melt the butter and brush on top of the sliders. Bake it off for about 15 minutes at 350 until the cheese it’s completely melted. While that is cooking, make a quick Au Jus, I used a packet and followed the instructions.

Remove the sliders from the oven, serve with the Au Jus!

Cinnamon-Sugar Pretzels Bites

•1 container of Kings Hawaiian soft Pretzel Bites

•3 tbsp or unsalted butter, melted

•1/2 cup of granulated sugar

•1 tbsp of ground cinnamon

•dipping sauces: I used dark and white chocolate sauces

Shake the container of pretzel bites so it takes off some of the salt. Pour the pretzels on a lined sheet pan and warm them up for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. When they come out brush with butter making sure you cover them, you can also add the pretzels to a bowl and shake them in the butter, then while they are still wet with butter, pass them through the bowl of cinnamon sugar (just mis the sugar and cinnamon together), and coat them well. Serve with siping sauces!
