NYE MEATBALL BOARD “When the Ball Drops…”

This is such a fun board to make! I’m sharing my grandma’s meatball recipe that is so delish! You can follow my meatball recipe and make it with beef or turkey or if you want to make it easier you can even buy frozen meatballs, cook them and make the sauces listed below! You will need 1/2 pound of meatballs per sauce if you choose to go that route.

Carla’s grandma Meatballs:

(I made one recipe with beef and 1 recipe with turkey)

• 1 pound 80% ground beef OR ground turkey

• 1 large egg , beaten

• 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

• 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

• 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

• 2 tsp minced garlic

• 1 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

• 2 Tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley

• Mini sliders to serve with and your favorite dipping sauces!

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients and form some small cocktail size meatballs. Place the on a sheet pan and bake them off at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Sauces:

🪩 Marinara Meatballs: I used 1 cup of Rao’s marinara sauce with beef meatballs

🪩 Buffalo Style: I used 1 cup of Franks Nashville Hot sauce with Turkey meatballs

🪩 Asian style meatballs: 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup hoisin sauce, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp siracha sauce with beef meatballs

🪩 Sweet & Sour Meatballs: 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce and 1/2 cup of chili sauce with turkey meatballs
