Friendsgiving Fruit Platter

I’m not sure why but I leave all the Thanksgiving classic dishes to actual Thanksgiving day! But I make a lot of different sides and desserts to bring to Friendsgiving Parties, Potlucks and other gatherings coming up!
Here is how I serve my fruit platter during this season.

Friendsgiving Fruit Platter

For the turkey:

  • 1/2 pear, cut lengthwise
  • 2 small red or black grapes
  • 1/2 mandarin wedge
  • 1 strawberry, cut in 1/4

Place the half pear on a platter or board. With toothpicks cut in half, poke down two grapes for the eyes, the mandarin for the beak, and the 1/4 strawberry for the wattle.

Fruit platter:

You can use variety of fruits of choice. I used red grapes, pineapple slices then cut in 1/4’s, strawberries cut in 1/2’s, kiwi slices, mandarin wedges, apple slices. You can change fruits and make it your own. Just make sure the ends have some kind of wedges like apples, pears or even mandarins so they look like feathers.

Enjoy!
