FAQ’s

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY DOWN!

Are you open to the public?

Yes! We love what we do and we wanted to share it with you. We opened our farm to the public on August 2020 and we are always thrilled to have you. Please remember we are a “working farm” so we ask you to respect our hours of operation and our farm rules.

What are your hours of operation?

Our operating hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am - 5:00pm, Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00pm.  The farm is closed on Mondays.

Do I need to purchase tickets to come in?

No! We love to share our farm with you. While we don’t charge an admission fee, we truly hope you help us to continue doing what we love and support our business. We have a 2,500 sq ft retail barn at the farm, where we sell all our farm products. By purchasing our products you help our family to keep farming and keep sharing our passion with you.

What animals do you have?

We currently have Chickens, Pheasants, Goats, Alpacas and Mini Donkeys.

Can we feed the animals?

Unfortunately not. We are a working farm and our animals have a diet they follow to stay healthy. We are not a petting zoo. With that being said, if the animals get closer to their pen gates you are free to pet them if they allow you to. Usually the goats are the friendliest and they love to be pet!

Can I bring my own food or beverage?

No. We don’t allow ANY KIND of outside food or beverage. We have a full coffee bar in house where we serve coffee, tea and espresso drinks as well as a variety of baked goods. We also have seasonal items like donuts and ice cream during the warmer months. For the kids we also have chocolate milk and water.

Do you allow dogs or outside animals at the farm?

We don’t allow dogs or other outside animals inside the retail barn or inside the farm. If you have a dog, you are more than welcome to stay on the parking lot, the side lawn area of the farm or under our overhang that has some tables and chairs. As much as we love dogs and all animals, we need to care for ours and we have some that don’t do well with stranger pets. Service animals with DISPLAY TAGS are ONLY allowed in the barn.

Do you host parties?

At this time, Oak Hill Farms is not hosting any kind of parties such as: birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, weddings, meeting or reunions. As much as we want to, we need to adhere to some township policies that prevent us from doing it (at this time.. :)). What we do offer and have available are classes and workshops that you can take advantage of and spend a wonderful time with your loved ones at the farm. Please check our “Calendar of Events” section for details.

Who can I speak to about an order I placed on your website, or a purchase I made in person at the barn?

If you have any questions specific to orders placed on our website, or in person at the barn please email us at: orders@oakhillfarmsnj.com.  Please allow up to two business days to receive a response.

Can I take pictures at the farm?

Please go to the “Photography Packages” section to read our policies for it.
